“Understanding Civics and Government” is an intensive course with a series of Citizenship Classes that will prepare you on the history of The United States, the personal interview and other information necessary to take the naturalization examination given by the United States Department of Immigration and Naturalization.
We offer four classes throughout the year: Two cycles in the Spring and two cycles in the Fall.
*There are no classes during the summer, unless further announcement.
Spring Cycle I: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Spring Cycle II: Saturday from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Fall Cycle III: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Fall Cycle IV: Saturday from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
ICC provides extensive support to enhance the learning process, providing an integration of ESL, English as a Second Language with Civics. At the end of the classes students are able to demonstrate their English language skills and knowledge of government and history topics.
Civic participation, activities and projects are also important part of the curriculum itself, providing unique experiences to all students.

Registration must be completed in person with the following documents:
- Permanent resident card
- Social Security Card
We recommend all candidates to have started their process by sending their applications to USCIS one or two months before start the classes, or be ready to send their applications while they are taking the classes.
