“ICC is one of the most remarkable non-profits in any American city… but it is in our city.”
-The late Newark historian and Rutgers Professor Dr. Clement Alexander Price, speaking at ICC’s 2013 Gala
MISSION AND
VALUES
To engage and empower individuals, families, and groups in realizing their aspirations…

INVESTING IN CHILDREN & FAMILIES
Programs and services to meet community needs, especially the needs of the most vulnerable …

ORGANIZING FOR JUSTICE
We envision a safe, healthy, just, and nurturing Ironbound, a welcoming and fully inclusive community …

OUR COMMUNITY
A mosaic of peoples from countries around the world who arrive in the community with aspirations for a better life …

50 YEARS, A LEGACY
ICC impacts the lives of Ironbound residents both at the individual and community levels…

What our community is saying
ICC brings people together…. Coming to the Family Success Center, to our Garden Club, and Knitting Club is like meeting with family. We talk, we share, we laugh, and we help each other. I especially like gardening with my family and friends because it reminds me of my home country, Ecuador… I wasn’t even surprised when ICC staff showed up on a Saturday morning when an apartment in my building was on fire… I invite you to join us; the center is for all of us!
