Community Listening and Power Building Session
This Saturday, March 29th, ICC has partnered alongside The GEM Project, Newark NAACP, Million Voters Project, We the People, Working Families Party, NJISJ, NJCA, and New Jersey Black Empowerment Coalition for the North New Jersey Community Listening and Power Building Session. This effort is designed to combat the low turnout levels we saw in last year’s presidential election by empowering families in Newark to have their voices heard and by demonstrating how the political process can bring about positive change — particularly for those who have felt disenfranchised and left out.
Come together to grow our power through increased voter participation and civic engagement. Develop messages to share with decision-makers about the issues that matter to our communities.
Light refreshments will be provided and translation will be available.
